10. What are the best stones for increasing sales?

11. What stones are good to recapture memory loss?

12. I have a question for you before I possibly purchase the wrong thing. I had spinal surgery on March 15, 2010 – the Ides of March – to remove, replace and fuse C5 – C7 following a car accident that occurred in
February of 2009. A 16 year old boy was texting and didn’t see me stopped at a red light in front of him. Anyway, it was an accident. It’s been sixteen months and I am still in constant pain. I’ve been told that this is as good as it’s going to get. I do not want to take pain meds for the rest of my life.

Which crystals do you think would work best for neck/cervical spine pain and arthritis in the cervical spine? I’m thinking about getting a necklace to wear all the time. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

1. My nephew was diagnosed with Aplastic Anemia which requires him to have a bone marrow transplant once a donor is found. Every book that Ive read suggests Purple Fluorite for bone marrow. Do the different colored Fluorites have different uses?

If you have a rock shop nearby, you could ask them if they could special order something in Purple Flourite for you. And if you dont, try eBay. There are pages and pages of Purple Fluorite clusters, octahedrons, etc. for sale. Or, you could do a Google search. I did one, and on the first two pages I found Purple Flourite tumbled stones, beads, and a point pendant.

Another option for you is using Rainbow Fluorite, which is purple and green, though it may not work as strongly as Purple Fluorite.

In general, all Fluorites share many of the same healing properties. However, each type of Fluorite also has a few properties that are unique to it. For instance, all Fluorites are beneficial towards strengthening teeth and bones, but bone marrow is specific to Purple Flourite.

This is not medical advice. Crystal healing should only be used as a complement to regular medical care and not in place of it.

2. What stones glow under a black light?

Some of the more common stones that will glow under a blacklight are Adamite, some Agates, Albite, Amber, Angelsite, Apatite, Apophyllite, Aragonite, Axinite, Barite, some Calcites, Celestite, Creedite, Datolite, some Diamonds, Diopside, some Fluorites, Gypsum, Halite, some Hemimorphite, Howlite, Magnesite, some Opals, Pectolite, Ruby, Scapolite, Scheelite, Septarian, some Serpentines, Smithsonite, Sphalerite, Stilbite, Talc, Ulexite, Wavelite, Willemite, Wulfenite, and Zircon.

Not every specimen of these stones will fluoresce. Some stones, such as Honey Calcite, will only fluoresce when they are in their original, rough state (i.e. not polished). Whereas Mangano Calcite, for instance, will glow a bright fluorescent pink no matter what state or shape it is in.

Blacklights are longwave UV lights (UVA). Not all fluorescent stones will glow under a UVA light (i.e. blacklight); some will glow only under a UVC light, which is shortwave. Some stones will glow much brighter under a shortwave lamp than under a blacklight. Willemite, for example, glows brilliant fluorescent greens and oranges under a shortwave UV lamp, but under a blacklight, the glow is much dimmer. All of the stones mentioned above will glow under a blacklight to some degree.

3. My mother suffers from skin disorders what stones do you suggest?

Aquamarine, Aventurine, Dravite (Brown Tourmaline), and Coral are all good stones to help in healing skin disorders. It is best that the stone be worn as a pendant around the neck so that the stone is in contact with the skin.

Before wearing the pendant, it is best that the stone be cleansed and programmed specifically for this purpose. See our cleansing and programming articles if you are unsure how to do this.

This is not medical advice. Crystal healing should only be used as a complement to regular medical care and not in place of it.

4. Is there a stone or crystal that can help with diabetes?

Yes, there are several, namely: Citrine, Jade, Peridot, and Serpentine. Choose whichever stone you feel the most drawn to, and then keep the stone with you at all times. Keep it in your pocket or a medicine pouch, or wear it as jewelry. Be sure to cleanse and program the stone before using it. See our articles on how to do this.

This is not medical advice. Crystal healing should only be used as a complement to regular medical care and not in place of it.

5. My friend has dark spirits that bother her every night in one room of her house. What stones do you recommend to banish evil spirits and how are they used?

The best stones to use to banish negative influences from a space are black stones, such as: jet, obsidian, snowflake obsidian, onyx, tektite, and tourmaline. These are also very protective stones, and so they can be used to protect the area from any negative energies.

You will need to perform a few simple ceremonies, and you will need some supplies: five (or more) of whichever black stone you decide to use, a large white candle, a small red candle, a sage smudge stick, incense, water, and earth (soil from the ground).

The first step is to cleanse your stones in a different room. You can work at a table or on the floor. Place the white candle in the center of your work space and light it. Place a small bowl of water in front of you, between you and the candle. From the white center candle, light the red candle and place it to the right of the white candle. Place a small bowl of earth to the left of the white candle. And then, light the incense from the white candle and place it opposite you behind the white candle. These represent the four elements, and they will be used to cleanse the stones.

Take one stone and hold it over the smoke of the incense for a few seconds. If you wish, you may say something while doing this, such as: By the element of Air, I cleanse you of all negative influences. Next, place the stone in the bowl of earth for a few seconds, and say something like By the element of Earth, I cleanse you of all negative influences. Then, quickly pass the stone through the flame of the red candle, and state By the element of Fire, I cleanse you of all negative influences. And finally, place the stone in the bowl of water for a few seconds, and state By the element of Water, I cleanse you of all negative influences. Then place it aside and repeat the same process for the other stones.

After cleansing your stones, you need to program them. This is done simply by holding the stone, staring at it, and then stating to the stone what you would like to use it for. In this case, you could say something like, I need you to help me in removing negative forces from the _______ room, and then protect the room from any negative influences. You may repeat this several times if you feel the need to do so. Try to feel a positive energy emanating from the stone. Do this for each stone.

The next step is to smudge yourself and the stones. Light your smudge stick and smudge yourself by waving the burning smudge stick all around your whole body (or as much of it as you can reach). Then hold each of the stones over the smoke of the smudge stick and move the stone around so as to smudge it on all sides.

Now you are ready to enter the room with the five stones and your still burning smudge stick and a lighter (to relight the smudge stick if it stops burning). Stand in the center of the room holding the five stones in one hand and the smudge stick in the other. Turn yourself around in circles, waving the stones and smudge stick around. State something like, I banish the dark forces in this room to a place where they can do no harm. Now walk around the room in bigger and bigger circles, like a spiral, until you have reached the walls. Continue to utter your statement throughout the whole process.

Put down four of the stones, keeping one in your hand. Next smudge all the corners and crevices of the room. Begin at the doorway of the room, and smudge the walls by waving the smudge stick and the stone from top to bottom going around the room in a clockwise direction. Be sure to get into all the corners and smudge everything along the walls, including inside bookcases, cabinets, and such. Continue to repeat your statement.

Once you have gone completely around the room and have returned to the doorway, smudge all around the doorway as well as behind the door. Then place the one stone that you have in your hand on the floor next to the door or on the top of the doorframe. Now place each of the other four stones into a corner of the room. Leaving the stones there will keep the room protected against any negative forces. If you purchased extra stones, you can place them throughout the house for added protection.

6. Can I keep all my crystals and gems together or should they be best kept apart?

It depends. If all of the stones have been cleansed and are not programmed, then yes, the stones can all be kept together in a basket, or non-metal bowl, or pouch, etc. Be sure not to add any additional stones to the basket, pouch, etc. unless the stone has been cleansed first. See our cleansing article on how to do this.

However, if the stones do carry programs, then they should not be kept together. When two programmed stones touch each other, they can corrupt or even erase each others programs. Programmed stones should always be wrapped individually in cotton or silk cloths when not in use. See our article on how to program stones.

7. What is the best stone for ADHD?

Lepidolite is the best stone for dealing with ADHD. It is a very calming and soothing stone. If this stone is for a child, I would recommend getting several of them. Place a few rough chunks or tumbled stones in their bedroom and/or playroom, and perhaps throughout the house as well. If the child is old enough, get a small pouch to hold a tumbled stone in and have him/her wear it around their neck.

As always, be sure to cleanse and program the stones before usage. If you are unfamiliar with this, see our how-to articles for info.

This is not medical advice. Crystal healing should only be used as a complement to regular medical care and not in place of it.

8. I read somewhere that there are stones each person should avoid. Is this true and if so, how would I know which ones?

This may be true for some people, but not everyone. The only real way to find out which stone(s) you should stay away from is through experience. Sometimes the energies of a stone do not mesh well with the energies of the person who is using it. One might experience an adverse reaction while using a stone. By adverse reaction, I mean that there can be a side effect which may be bothersome. A few examples are: irritability, nervousness, increased heartbeat, ringing in the ears, nausea, etc.

Basically, if you experience an adverse reaction that occurs only when you are working with or carrying the stone, then that kind of stone may be one that you may wish to avoid. Then you might want to find a different kind of stone which has the same or similar properties to use instead.

Another possible way to find out if you should avoid a certain stone, which can be very time consuming, is through research. When there is a stone that you are interested in using, research it on the web and/or through books on crystals. You might find a stone description that has a warning in it, such as, for example, this stone should not be used by those who are emotionally sensitive, or this stone may be too strong for some people, and you may wish to start out with a gentler stone, or those with certain conditions (i.e. heart conditions, mental conditions, etc.) should not use this stone, etc.

9. Do gems naturally affect various attributes such as love, protection, good luck, etc. because of the natural, inherent properties of the stone or because a spell is chanted or placed on them?

The answer is more or less both! Each stone has natural inherent properties. Usually there are one or two main properties that the stone is known for, and then the stone will also have many other minor purposes, oftentimes quite a long list of them! This is why it is important to program your stone, especially if what you want to use it for is not one of its main properties. Once a stone has been programmed for a specific purpose, that property then becomes its main focus.

For example, the major attributes of green aventurine is to bring luck and prosperity to its owner. So if you took it to the casino, the stone might work for you pretty well without it being programmed. But, say you want the green aventurine to ease your panic attacks. Well, that is one of its many minor attributes, and so it might not work so well without a program.

Note: a stone can only be programmed to use one of its natural properties. It cannot be programmed with a property that is not inherent to the stone.

To learn how to program stones, see our article. And make sure to always cleanse your stones as well before using them.

10. What are the best stones for increasing sales?

The best stones for increasing sales are: citrine, carnelian, and fire opal. Get several stones or citrine clusters and place them throughout the work area. Place one on your desk. Place one in a cash drawer. Place them wherever the money is flowing.

11. What stones are good to recapture memory loss?

  1. For memory?
  2. For diabetes?
  3. For sinus?
  4. Physical injuries, to regain strength and flexibility?

The best stone to recapture memory loss is Amber, which isnt a stone at all, but rather a fossilized resin.

  1. For memory: citrine is best, but pyrite, amethyst, hematite, emerald, epidote, and onyx (to name a few) are also good for memory.
  2. For diabetes: citrine, jade, peridot, and serpentine
  3. For sinuses: blue lace agate and azuritee. For sinus infections specifically, opal and rhodochrosite.
  4. for healing from injuries: jet, rutilated quartz, tektite. To gain strength specifically, black onyx and tiger iron. To increase flexibility, rose quartz. If you want one stone that does it all, clear quartz. Make sure to program your stones for their specific uses, and they will work much better for you.

12. I had spinal surgery on March 15, 2010 – the Ides of March – to remove, replace and fuse C5 – C7 following a car accident that occurred in February of 2009.

Im very sorry to hear about your accident and the resulting pain and injuries you have suffered. One of the best crystals for pain is Peridot. It can be used on all areas of the body, but you can program one to concentrate specifically on the pain in your neck/cervical spine. Other powerful pain-relieving stones include: Lapis Lazuli, Amethyst, and Malachite.

Garnet may be the best arthritis reliever for you as, not only does it relieve the symptoms of arthritis, but it naturally centers its healing energies specifically on the spine. Other strong arthritis-relieving stones include Fluorite, Rhodonite, and Malachite.
