Ostara and Eostre
The ancient goddess, Eostre, was a Saxon deity who symbolized the passage of time as well as new life and fertility.
Eostre was the key symbol of the Vernal Equinox (which was also known as Ostara.) The goddess Eostre was saved
by a bird whose wings had become frozen during the winter. The winter cold had turned the bird into a magical hare, who
could also lay eggs!
The main symbols for Easter today originate from Eostre's story: the egg, for new life or beginnings, and the
rabbit/hare, for fertility.
Fertility
This is an excellent time of the year to encourage fertility of your mind as well as your body. It is the time
